About this site
This site – and all that Lang Communications design and build – complies with the latest international standards for website design. In particular, it draws on groundbreaking work over the last few years by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), an independent organisation tasked with developing standards for all aspects of the internet, including browsers. Its web design guidelines cover methodologies for layout and website production and ensure that the end result is accessible to the majority of web users, including those with disabilities. Standards compliant websites function properly on all compliant browsers.
In the UK, accessibility acquired greater importance in October 2004 with the updating of The Disability Discrimination Act. This gives disabled people rights of access to everyday goods and services that others take for granted.
