Lang Communications - How we work

How we work

Writing is at the heart of all we do. And we look first at how communications work, before we work on how they look.

We apply the same thirst for quality to every project – whether the audience is analysts or activists, truckers or opera lovers. That means putting ourselves in the client’s shoes. We put particular emphasis on:

  • Chemistry: hearing what clients mean as well as what they say
  • Context: understanding the client’s business, organisation, culture, objectives and strategies
  • Insight: working out how to tell the story the way the audience wants to hear it
  • Judgement: knowing what to leave out as well as what to put in
  • Technique: style, pace, tone of voice, telling a complex story succinctly.

Peer review

We see quality control as a training and mentoring opportunity. Before work goes to a client for approval, it’s reviewed by a second team member. That goes for our freelancers too. The result is sharpened teamwork that creates a stimulating learning environment. This peer review process was a key factor in our Investor in People accreditation.
