Lang wins branding award

Our branding and identity work for new luxury hotel group Sankara has been recognised at the World Luxury Awards in Monte Carlo. An international jury from 10 countries gave the project the finalist award in the Branding and Visual Identity category.

A team of Lang writers helped create a brand voice and identity, and market positioning, for the $30 million, 156-room Sankara Nairobi and for the group as a whole. The particular challenge was to combine both the business values of a luxury international five-star hotel with an authentic African flavour.

Working in tandem with design agency Glazer Consulting, we devised a palate of appropriate words and wrote copy for a suite of marketing materials including the pre-launch website, advertising, advertorials, and signage – all to tight deadlines.

Other clients from the retail, leisure and travel sectors have included BAA, Marks & Spencer, House of Fraser, Ocean Independence and the Thomas Cook Group.
